Stretford Wall of Fame
Culture Champions, 2021
Stretford Wall of Fame was a project instigated as part of Culture Champions Trafford by one of the project participants called Jules; together we co-produced the project.

The Stretford Wall of Fame was a celebration of people connected to Stretford who have contributed to arts, culture, and social and political change within the community and beyond. Selected by local residents, and reflecting changing historical boundaries there were many familiar faces but his project also wanted to create a space to shine the light on the successes of the people less recognised for their achievements.

The Stretford Wall of Fame was the creative vision of Stretford resident Jules Bagnoli who “wanted to make a walk-through gallery of our area's special people, from all walks of life and backgrounds".

The original artworks were created by Old Trafford based artist, 'Barry the Boxer' who is a member of a local drawing group.

The outdoor exhibition was in the pocket park next to Stretford Public Hall for two months and seen by thousands of people.
