Personal project, 2023

The Same Moon is a eulogy poem that I wrote for my mother who passed away on the 29th March 2023 after a very short battle with cancer. This is the first poem that I have written and read publicly. I recorded myself reading the poem in case I was too overwhelmed to read it on the day, and have used this audio with a video clip from a walk on the evening of the funeral. The process enabled me to begin to grieve through drawing parallels between memories, her qualities and how she led her life, and the natural world.
